G'day everyone!

I hope everyone in the Northern Hemisphere has had a wonderful summer, despite the fact that it has been way too hot. Those of us who live in the Southern Hemisphere are on the cusp of entering Spring, which is my absolute favorite season. The blooming of the jacaranda trees is one of my favorite sights.

The next bit of news is extremely exciting. A new radio drama that I've created and titled "Never Too Late" is inspired by the vote held in Australia in 2017 to determine whether or not same-sex marriage should be legalized here.

Voters in Australia had the chance to let their government know that they wanted for same-sex couples to be granted the same rights and privileges as heterosexual couples and to be able to marry.

It was a watershed moment in Australian history when the nation cast a vote in favor of legally marrying same-sex couples, which received 61.6% of the total vote. Since that life-changing event came to pass, I've had the idea to commemorate this significant occurrence by writing a story or a play.

In the novel "Where Shadows Linger" there was a conversation between Zoe and her best friend Elena and Zoe claimed that “One day, Elena Mannheim, homosexuals are going to be accepted. Just wait. One day they are going to walk down the street, and they will be able to kiss their lover out in the open...”

The radio play is about Zoe's prediction of what would occur, and 2017 was the year when same-sex marriage became legal in Australia. The first couple to wed without waiting the required thirty days under the law were Jill Kindt and Jo Grant. They were allowed to get married early because Jo was terminally ill with cancer. They were married on December 15, 2017. Jo passed away on January 30, 2018, six weeks after her wedding. You can read about it here

This play is about the efforts that were made for the YES vote and how it impacted the Lambros clan who actively campaigned for the YES vote to pass, particularly the elderly Eva and Zoe. The play focuses on how the Lambros clan came together for this momentous vote.

The play will be performed by the amazing cast at Sherri's Playhouse and you can listen for free when it goes live towards the end of August and eventually on my site.
CURRENTLY WORKING ON

I'm still currently working on WISHING TREE where we join Eva and Zoe and their children in 1958 and I'm thoroughly enjoying visiting the family.

A tale of love, unexpected surprises and cherished memories.

It’s 1958 in Sydney, Australia. Eva and Zoe Lambros have finally achieved the family they craved after the tumult of the last few years. Eva tries to find out what to get Zoe for her thirtieth birthday and how to tell their daughter, Larissa, about her unique abilities; she gets inspiration from a comic book heroine. Zoe tangles with an obnoxious radio host who has taken exception to her art and is unaware he is about to face a lioness. It’s a tale of love, unexpected surprises, and cherished memories for the Lambros family.

After Wishing Tree comes FEAR NO EVIL.

This is the cover and before anyone asks, no that's not Eva!
