In the Blood of the Greeks

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the shy Eva and the more outgoing Zoe. It's a love story, a history lesson and a story about hope and courage. I believe there is a sequel to this story coming out soon and I plan on buying that one as well! - Elizabeth Peppy

This novel, the first in the Intertwined Soul Series, is a wonderfully touching story, with a powerful plot and brilliant dialogue; a warm, heartfelt book that will fill your heart with a whole range of emotions. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll hold your breath, you'll sigh in contentment, you'll be surprised.... In the Blood of the Greeks is indeed a captivating book that will stay with you forever. Rosa Alonso

Where Shadows Linger

Where the Shadows Linger is a great follow-up to In The Blood of Greeks. Where the latter sped along at breakneck speed giving you an exciting story with some glimpses of what lies beneath in Eva and Zoe, WSL crafts an intriguing story that will keep you turning pages as quickly as you can, but it also gives you a more in-depth portrayal of its main players. You get a better insight into Eva whose quiet presence is hiding many secrets. Zoe is a fun and impulsive addiction -- both for Eva and for us as readers. - KT Jorgensen

Once again, Mary D. Brooks proves that she masters the art of writing emotion. There are powerfully intense, mind-blowing scenes that will literally take your breath away; there are warm, tender times that will softly touch your soul; there are light moments where Ms. Brooks' unique sense of humour shines brightly. Her unique narrative voice never wavers, her elegant writing style is flawless, and her talent for writing smart, flowing dialogue is extraordinary.... Rosa Alonso

This is a great follow up to the first book. Mary draws you in with her portrayal of the characters. You experience them trying to establish themselves in a new country with a lot of the same prejudices they were trying to escape. Great read...I highly recommend it. Patricia A. Vowles
